Read the history
Sahih Muslim reports that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed in the mosque of Bani Mu’awiyah and made a long supplication. He then said he had asked his Lord for three things: that his community would not be destroyed by famine, nor by drowning, which were granted, and that they would not fight among themselves, which was not granted.
The mosque, north east of the Prophet’s Mosque, is known as Masjid al-Ijabah, the Mosque of the Answer.
